D-Brief Editorial Policy
D-Brief by Densanon LLC — Last updated April 27, 2026
Summary
D-Brief is an aggregator, not a publisher. Densanon LLC does not author, commission, edit, or fact-check the content displayed in D-Brief. The app surfaces articles from third-party sources that the user explicitly configures.
How Content Is Selected
Each user configures their own topics. For each topic, D-Brief assembles articles from:
- Curated RSS feeds — Densanon LLC maintains a built-in catalog of approximately 700 publicly available RSS feeds across 200+ topic categories. Sources include established news organizations, academic publishers, government agencies, and community blogs. Inclusion in the catalog reflects technical availability and topical fit, not endorsement of viewpoint.
- Public search results — for any topic outside the curated catalog, D-Brief queries public search endpoints (Google News, Reddit, Hacker News) and presents the results.
- User-added sources — users may add any RSS feed of their choosing.
Ranking and Summarization
Within each topic, D-Brief applies a deterministic ranking algorithm based on signals such as engagement, source authority (Tranco rank, where available), recency, content quality, and source diversity. The on-device AI model then generates short factual summaries (“takeaways”) of the top-ranked articles.
Ranking and summarization are mechanical processes. No human editor at Densanon LLC reviews, approves, or curates the output for any individual user.
What D-Brief Does Not Do
- D-Brief does not write articles. All article text is fetched directly from the original publisher's feed.
- D-Brief does not edit article text beyond extracting standard RSS fields (title, summary, author, date, link).
- D-Brief does not commission, sponsor, or pay any publisher whose content appears in the app.
- D-Brief does not insert advertising or sponsored content.
- D-Brief does not promote any political, religious, or ideological viewpoint.
- D-Brief does not fact-check article content. Accuracy is the responsibility of the originating publisher.
Source Catalog Decisions
The built-in source catalog is maintained by Densanon LLC and may be updated over time. Sources are added or removed based on:
- Technical availability of the RSS or feed endpoint
- Whether the source publishes original reporting or commentary on the topic
- Compliance with the source's terms of use
Densanon LLC does not curate the catalog to favor any political, ideological, or commercial position. A source's inclusion or omission from the catalog is not an editorial endorsement or rejection of its views.
AI-Generated Summaries
Article takeaways are generated by a small language model running entirely on the user's device. These summaries are produced mechanically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Users should always verify important information by reading the original article. The summary is not a substitute for the source.
Corrections and Removals
Because D-Brief does not host article content — it links to the original publisher — corrections to article content are the responsibility of the originating publisher. If a user wishes to dispute the appearance of a source in the built-in catalog, or report an issue, they may contact us at the address below.
Ownership and Independence
D-Brief is a wholly owned product of Densanon LLC. Densanon LLC is independently owned and is not affiliated with any news organization, political organization, or government entity.
